The Festival has been planned to draw attention and create publicity
-on Morchella ’’the privilleged taste of international cuisine’’ and other mushroom species and their richness in the area
-to support the economic value of mushrooms,
and most importantly
-to arouse interest on conscious consumption,
and also to contribute to the development of ecological tourism.
The three days of activities and events are free of charge except mushroom hunting tours.
Yeşilüzümlü and its township is the residental area of Fethiye having unspoilt natural beauty. It is located on the sides of Geyran mountain at 500 meters above sea level in a savanna which is a transition zone to upland.
The ancient Lycian city Cadianda settled on top of the slopes, has lacked laudable care and attention for thousands of years. Maybe thousands of years of ongoing ‘’Dastar’’ weaving and wine production are also lacking the same attention. Together with these values we would like to share the richness in the depths of Yeşilüzümlü forest wealth by our festival which will be accompanied by activities and shows. |
